From the first impression we see that Proton has settled up some of the quality issues that was known with the Gen2. 2007 Mitsubishi Concept cX

The MITSUBISHI Concept-cX represents a new-generation compact SUV, realizing an ideal balance between environmental and everyday practical performance. The concept car uses a new high-output, high-efficiency 1.8-liter clean diesel engine, featuring a variable geometry (VG) turbocharger for optimum boost control and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) with diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust system for compliance with Europe's Euro 5 emission standards...and of course the famous 'jet fighter' grill seen on the new Mitsubishi Lancer will also be featured on this Compact Crossover.

When yours truly here published several spyshot pictures two weeks ago we were expecting two different trims available, the GL and the GT. Looking at Mitsubishi agressive pricing strategy I dont see a reason the GL will be brought over to Malaysia unless as a CKD.

The first thing that's going to make you drool over is going to be the massive 18 inch wheels with Yokohama Advan tyres ,this alone would provide you improve grips, cornering and overall performance.

For the exterior, the front end looks muscular ; styling that imparts a broad stance and sporty lines and a really spacious well appointed cabin.

Mitsubishi Malaysia is now testing the car on Malaysian Roads and will be ready to stack up against the Honda Civic and others Saloon. All the test cars are already registered in Selangor.
Official launching of this new Lancer will be in August.

Yes the Mitsubishi Lancer is now in Malaysia.Booking can be made now at your nearest Mitsubishi Dealer.The 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer will be available in Malaysian market in two levels of trim and driving dynamics.Source said it will be priced RM99,000 for 'Standard Specs' and RM110,000 for 'Full-Specs'..The full specs is said to comes with 18" wheels,a full bodykits and some enhancements on the interior.All models will be fully imported ( CBU ) units. Both comes with Mitsubishi Mivec 2.0 liter. The so called Prototype-X or the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X will arrived soon after the launching of the normal based 2007 Lancer this coming August in Malaysia. Will try to keep you guys posted.
